Process of baling hay
Webb6 juni 2024 · Baling hay is the process of taking loose hay, which has been cut and dried and folding it into small rectangular bales. This process is done by hand or with a baling machine that’s attached to a tractor. Baling hay is a great way to save money and make your property more eco-friendly. Hay production and harvest, commonly known as "making hay", "haymaking", "haying" or "doing hay", involves a multiple step process: cutting, drying or "curing", raking, processing, and storing. Hayfields do not have to be reseeded each year in the way that grain crops are, but regular fertilizing is usually desirable, and overseeding a field every few years helps increase yield.
