Today, a friend saw my garage door open and pulled up. He came into the garage. He looked at the engine bay I was bent over, and said, "WOW, looks cleaned up. Less wires. WebAug 17, 2012 · #1 Hi, I have a 4.3 cobra, that has had idle problems, since I installed the pertronix ignitor 2 module. The timing is set correctly, and the ignitor 2 module is hooked up to the alternator, at a switched source. Interestingly, the problem only happens when the engine is not completely warmed up yet.

WebJun 19, 2008 · Bought a Pertronix flame thrower coil and ignitor from Marksoffroad. Followed the simple directions. 1) Ignition wire, hot when key in ON position goes to + side of coil. 2) Red wire from Pertronix to + on coil. 3) Black wire from Pertronix to - on coil. Coil becomes warm when ON position. WebI also have been running the Pertronix for a number of years without any issues, but I'm running the Flamethrower II coil (.6 ohm) without the ballast resistor and with the Ignitor II ignition.
