WebLay the sill materials onto the frame, and line up the seams. Use a level to ensure the sill is straight. Once everything is in place, you can use nails or screws to secure the sill to the frame. If you are using wood, you’ll need to apply a few coats of sealant to protect the wood. Finally, you’ll need to put in a new window trim or casing. WebChoose an appropriate distance from the front edge to ensure that the sealing tape is no longer visible. Install the sides to the board. Try not to touch the sealing tape and do not push them further than the buffer (Fig. 2). Insert the sill into the groove at the window (Fig. 3). Attach vapour resistant jointing.
