In the end it might be cheaper to buy new. People have done this for years with a 454 but if you only have a block go 496. The most important factor in high HP in $$$ in the end. WebApr 12, 2013 · Okay after doing a lot more research here's what my plan is so far.. run about a 9-9.5:1 compression ratio using probe forged domed pistons, edlebrock performer RPM heads with 118cc combustion chamber. I was thinking a Dual plane RPM intake manifold with a 1" spacer and a Speed Demon 750cfm carburator up top? How does that sound?
